Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has said his team will make a few technical changes to increase creativity to create space during their CRDB Federation Cup fixture against Dodoma City FC on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the knockout fixture that will be played at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium, Barker admitted his team has had a goal scoring challenge, but they have been working hard to rectify the situation.

“I think when we last played Dodoma Jiji, it was probably in my opinion we didn’t win the game despite one of our best performances, we were very unlucky on the day not to have scored many goals,” Barker told Pan-Africa Football.
“So, obviously having played the two back-to-back league games and not scoring, it is something that we are very mindful of, and it is something we are definitely working on.
“We have to be creating more opportunities to be able to score goals. So, there are one or two tactical changes that we would be having in mind, and we look forward to that implementation of the changes.
“We want to make sure we create enough chances, rather than what we have been doing.”
On his part, Simba defender Rushine De Reuck said: “We have played Dodoma before, so we have an idea of what they are like, but most important again is to focus on what we do, and try to improve from our last performance.
“I think if we manage to do this, for sure we will get the result we need, and we know it is a big opportunity for us, because it is a Cup game, and we want to compete for every trophy available, so tomorrow (Sunday), game we will do our best, and try to make Simba fans proud.”
Dodoma Jiji FC coach Aman Josiah said his team will enter the game with a new strategy. Josiah has explained that in modern football, every game requires a different strategy, so they will not use the same system they used in the previous NBC Premier League match against their opponents.
For his part, Dodoma Jiji player, William Edger revealed they are ready for the game and will ensure they implement all the instructions of the technical bench to get good results.
