Heart of Lions will turn attention to the MTN FA Cup quarter-finals after a poor run of form in the Ghana Premier League this season.
The Kpando based club are up against Dreams fc in an all Ghana Premier League affair on Sunday, March 15 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium with a battle for the semifinal spot.
Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford is anticipating a tough meeting with Dreams FC who are equally battling to grind victories in the domestic top flight.
Speaking ahead of the tie, Bashir Hayford talked about the confidence boosting win over All Black Stars in the premier league last weekend.
“The boys have been down, but this win will rekindle their spirit a little. It will get them up to fight in our next match.
Ahead of the FA Cup, the experienced coach admitted that, Dreams fc will give them a good run for their money.
“The match won’t be an easy match, so we will make sure that this match-winning booster will help us when we travel to Cape Coast,” Bashir Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
Heart of Lions have not come good in the current Ghana Premier League, recording 10 defeats, six draws and nine victories. Dreams FC on the other hand sit 12th in the league log with 31 points two below Heart of Lions from 25 games.
The FA Cup quarter-final clash between Dreams FC and Heart of Lions will kick off at 3 pm at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.
