Head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford is resolved to running things around after the club’s performance in their last five matches of the Ghana Premier League.
The Kpando based club have just two points out of a possible 15 with the two draws coming against Vision FC away and Karela United at home.
Ahead of their trip to third placed Medeama SC for their week 16 fixture, Bashir Hayford discussed the need to finish the first half of the season on a high.
“We know we are going to play seventeen matches in the first half and another seventeen in the second half and so we are about to finish the first half but getting to the end, our last five matches the results didn’t come as we expected so everybody is worried,” Bashir Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
“But we know that it’s all part of football so we are preparing very well to finish the last two matches which are Medeama and the last match against Hohoe United then after that we re-strategize for the second round of matches.
“We have not been getting the maximum three points that we are expecting from the last two or three matches so we want to make amends so we are preparing very well,” Bashir Hayford added.
Heart of Lions posted a 2-2 draw at Vision FC before returning home for a goalless stalemate against Karela United. They have since lost three consecutive matches against Nations FC, Aduana and Samartex.
They occupy the 7th spot in the Ghana Premier League with 23 points, same as Karela United after 15 matches into the season. Their game at Medeama is set for 3:30 GMT.
