2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions Bayelsa Queens FC have revealed their provisional 25-player squad as they gear up preparations for the 2025 WAFU Zone-B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, set to kick off in August.
The club stated that the chosen players represent the strength, discipline, and ambition of the Prosperity Girls, as they target a return to the continental stage. The squad breakdown includes 4 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 6 midfielders, and 7 forwards.
This marks Bayelsa Queens’ second appearance at the WAFU-B qualifiers, having won the title in Côte d’Ivoire in 2022, and will return to the same country this year with their sights set on reclaiming the regional title
The winner of the WAFU-B tournament will go on to represent the zone at the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.
