Bayer Leverkusen sets €50m price tag for Victor Boniface

German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly seeking around €50 million for Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface should he depart the club this summer.

According to German publication Bild, the 2023-24 Bundesliga champions are open to selling the Nigeria international heading into the summer transfer market.

Boniface’s 2024/25 season with Bayer Leverkusen has been marked by a mixed bag of performances and significant injury concerns, which have also fueled speculation about a potential transfer exit. During the January 2025 transfer window, the striker was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

Boniface scored 8 goals and provided 1 assist in 19 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer Leverkusen during the 2024/25 season.

Die Werkself have already signed young forward Christian Kofane, and have the intention of keeping their other striker Patrick Schick. Currently, there is interest in Boniface from the Premier League- Newcastle United, among others, are considering him.

Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen from Belgian Pro League outfit, Union Saint-Gillloise in 2023, providing 38 goal contributions in 61 appearances, scoring 32 goals and providing 6 assists.

He won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal in his first season at the club.
