German giants, Bayern Munich have decided against extending Senegal striker, Nicolas Jackson’s stay in Bavaria.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations champion moved to the record Bundesliga holders on loan from Chelsea with an option buy but with conditions attached.
The former Villarreal attacker will return to Chelsea before potentially finding another club in the next transfer window.
The partnership agreement between Bayern Munich and Nicolas lasted only for a season’s season with an option to buy under the condition that Jackson plays 40 matches as a starter for Bayern.
However it looks unlikely that Jackson will be able to fulfill this condition, preventing the automatic activation of the purchase option by the Munich club.
The 24-year-old who played 21 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist for Bayern, will return to the Stamford Bridge.
Reports however indicate that the Casa Sports graduate has appeared on the radar of many clubs including Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
There is possibility of Jackson remaining at Chelsea to try and integrate into Liam Rosenior’s squad following the departure of Enzo Maresca, who didn’t necessarily get along with the Senegalese forward.
Jackson who capped 31 times times with seven goals for Senegal played five games and scored two goals as the Teranga Lions beat hosts Morocco 1-0 to win their second AFCON in January.
