Kenya Premier League leaders Gor Mahia saw their domestic FKF Cup journey come to an end at the Round of 32 stage after losing 1-0 against giant-killers BB Bread at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.
BB Bread went into the fixture having eliminated Gor Mahia rivals AFC Leopards in the Round of 64. Meawhile, Gor Mahia reached the stage following their 2-0 win against Dero FC.
Gor Mahia, who made 10 changes to their starting XI, were the better side in the opening exchanges, but were not able to break down a BB Bread side, who stood their ground at the back.
Ben Stanley came close to giving Gor Mahia the lead but his effort was spotted by the BB Bread goalkeeper. The minnows resorted to frustrating Gor Mahia with defensive play while waiting for them on a counter-attacking move.
The first half produced a 0-0 result and in the second half, BB Bread continued to keep Gor Mahia striker at bay. However, in the 84th minute, they scored what turned out to be the winner courtesy of Denis Muthini.

In another fixture, defending champions Nairobi United cruised into the Round of 16 following an 8-0 victory against BMC All Stars at Ulinzi Sports Complex.
Former Gor Mahia striker Benson Omalla grabbed a brace the same as Brian Magare as the Naibois cruised into the emphatic victory and stay on courseto defend their crown.
At Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday, former champions Kakamega Homeboyz secured a 3-0 win little known Kipchimchim. Oliver Majaka grabbed a brace before Eston Omengo confirmed Homeboyz into the next round.
