Zambian midfielder Benson Sakala has signed with Czech top-flight side Bohemians Praha 1905 as a free agent, following his departure from FK Mladá Boleslav.
Bohemians confirmed the arrival of the 28-year-old Chipolopolo star on their social media pages by saying: “Kangaroos will be reinforced by Benson Sakala for the new season. The 28-year-old captain of the Zambian national team Welcome to the Hole!”
Before sealing the transfer, Sakala had taken to his social media pages to announce his exit from FK Mladá Boleslav, where he had made 45 appearances, and scored two goals.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank FK Mladá Boleslav for the opportunity I had to grow my career at this great club. I will carry within me some great memories having played in the league and going all the way through to the Europa Conference League group stage. It was a wonderful experience,’ wrote Sakala.
Sakala has already been included in Zambia squad for their upcoming friendly matches against Sudan and Tunisia on June 6 and 10 respectively.
