Beşiktaş propose bid for Bright Osayi-Samuel

Nigeria national team defender Bright Osayi-Samuel is reportedly close to an exit from Turkish side Fenerbahçe as local rivals Beşiktaş have tabled an official offer for the Super Eagles right back's services.


Osayi-Samuel’s Fenerbahçe's contract is set to run out at the end of June the Nigerian defender and the Istanbul club yet to reach an agreement on a new deal.


Beşiktaş are reportedly said to be unhappy with their options at the right fullback position and believe Osayi-Samuel could be the solution, according to Fotomac.


The player is also believed to be in talks with English Premier League clubs Fulham and Crystal Palace and he could now join them as a free agent. Osayi-Samuel, who was born in Nigeria and grew up in London, joined Fenerbahçe in 2021 from London club Queens Park Rangers (QPR).


The Nigerian defender won the Turkish Cup with the club during the 2022-23 season. He has also been a key player in their campaigns in the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League, totaling 7 goals and 15 assists in 178 appearances across all competitions over four-and-a-half seasons for Fener.
