Beto scores, Adingra and Mbeumo assist as African players shine in the Premier League

Guinea-Bissau striker Beto was on the scoresheet as Everton came from behind to humble Fulham in Week 36 of the Premier League at Craven Cottage. Beto scored for the second consecutive game for the Toffees.

The Guinea-Bissau national team striker ended any hope Fulham had of staging a comeback in the 74th minute when he collected a pass from Carlos Alcaraz and scored from inside the box. Beto sent a low drive past the helpless Fulham goalkeeper Leno. The goal also ensured the Merseyside club took home all three points.

Vitaliy Mykolenko and Michael Keane also found the net for Everton. Beto, 27, has now reached eight league goals for the season. Everton are 13th with 42 points.

Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo provided an assist for Brentford in a narrow 1-0 win over relegated Ipswich Town. Mbeumo set up the in-form Kevin Schade in the first half. The Indomitable Lion has now contributed to 25 league goals (18 goals and 7 assists).

Elsewhere, Ivorian winger Simon Adingra helped Brighton with an assist in their 2-0 away win over Wolves. Adingra set up Brajan Gruda as Brighton secured the victory.

Brentford currently sit eighth in the table with 55 points, level with Brighton who are ninth due to goal difference. Meanwhile, Everton are in 13th place with 42 points.
