Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has described Lamontville Golden Arrows’ recent struggles as deceiving, saying they remain a tricky customer with a good coach in Manqoba Mngithi.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s Betway Premiership match against Lamontville Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Ncikazi called for caution, saying their upcoming opponent's position in the league shouldn't be taken at face value.

“Playing Arrows can be very deceiving. Their position in the league is not [reflective of] the capacity that they have. So, we have to be cautious—it's a new coach, very astute with lots of experience,” he said.

“They have acquired quite a few players from Royal AM, so we don’t know what to expect from them. We must concentrate on our game. Three points will be better.”

The Buccaneers are coming from a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs, having previously endured two straight defeats. Arrows have recently struggled, and a 3-0 defeat to Stellenbosch FC on the weekend extended their losing streak to four league games.
