SuperSport United interim coach Andre Arendse says he is proud of his team after beating Chippa United 2-0 on Saturday, May 3.
Seasoned striker Bradley Grobler and winger Christian Saile scored in either half to boost SuperSport United's chances of avoiding relegation from the Betway Premiership.
In a post-match interview with SuperSport Television, the Bafana Bafana goalkeeping legend said he was relieved that players are applying what they learn in training.
"Pleased, yes, but proud is the word because the players carried out the things we have been implementing in training the whole week and they put smiles on their faces," Arendse said.
Despite the Pretoria-based team breaking a six-game winless run in the league, the coach called for more hard work. "The players know that this is just the beginning. We need to keep doing this for the rest of the season," he added.
SuperSport jumped two places in the table, three points ahead of bottom-placed Cape Town City.
