After losing four straight matches in all competitions, Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has admitted that the wheels have come off his South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) team.
The coach further noted that the 2024-2025 CAF Confederation Cup semi finalists have lost their mojo and need urgent redemption. They lie fourth from the basement with just one league win in seven games.
The referee blows for full-time.

Barker made the admission after the Stellies lost 1-0 to Richards Bay in a Betway Premiership match on Saturday.
“Right now, we are not at our best, so we have to find a solution. We have to go back to the drawing board,” the coach told SuperSport Television.
He further lamented the manner in which they conceded against the Natal Rich Boys.
“They didn’t really create too many chances to score. To concede a sloppy goal just before the half-time break put us on the back foot,” he noted.
“We just need to freshen up a little bit, re-energise and just find our mojo, which I am confident we will do. We can’t forget what we have achieved. It is important to stay positive, unite, pull in the same direction and work hard on the training ground.”
The 2025 MTN8 cup finalists will now face Durban City in the next league game on Wednesday. It is a must-win match for both teams considering that City are also smarting from a 3-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
