Big update on Orlando Pirates and Nigeria defender Olisa Ndah

Orlando Pirates’ Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah’s absence from the playing squad of the South African elite team continues to generate interest. But there is good news for those who idolize the Super Eagles’ star.

Fans for the Betway Premiership club have been questioning as to when the fan-favourite will hit the turf again.

Pirates supporters are fond of Ndah because of his flair with his trademark ball-playing abilities from the back.

One such fan Khethani Ximba used the social media platform x.com to find out from Ndah’s manager Mike Makaab over the centreback’s continuted omission from the Buccaneers’ matchday squad.

He tweeted: “I am very worried about Olisa Ndah’s absence, we don’t even see him in the short video clips of Pirates training.That’s a premium CB currently in the PSL, what’s really happened?”

In a response, Makaab assured the supporter that all is well with the Super Eagles’ defender.

The well-known agent explained that Pirates are being cautious mindful of the dangers of rushing Ndah into the thick of things.

“The club’s medical staff are making sure that his rehab is done thoroughly, as they don’t want to risk bringing him into full game training until they feel he is ready to do so. The good news is that he’s almost ready,” Makaab tweeted back.

Ndah has been out of action for Pirates with his last appearance being against Kaizer Chiefs on February 25, 2023 when he scored an own goal.

It was the Nigerian’s first game after returning from a three-month injury layoff.
