Yves Bissouma has been omitted from Tottenham Hotspur’s UEFA Super Cup match squad ahead of Wedneday’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain in Udine. The Mali international has been sidelined by his English club due to indiscipline.
Bissouma was a key member of Spurs when they won the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League, receiving plaudits for his stellar performance in the final against Manchester United. The 28-year-old will now miss the crucial Super Cup final against French side PSG in Italy.
North London club coach Thomas Frank stated that the midfielder was left out of the squad for being late. “Bissouma is not here because of disciplinary reasons. He has been late several times — the latest one too many.”

Bissouma played five preseason games for Tottenham, missing only the 2–2 draw against Wycombe. In his last preseason game, the Mali midfielder amassed ten minutes in a 4–0 defeat to Bayern Munich. It is not yet known if Bissouma, the subject of transfer speculation during the summer, will be ready to start the Premier League season after this latest episode.
