Batsesana had pulled a dramatic 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium a week ago but the 1-0 loss on Saturday meant it finished 3-2 on aggregate in favour of the Black Princesses.
After a goalless first half, Ghana got their noses in front in the 63rd minute when Priscilla Mensah found the needed goal at the Nelspruit Mbombela Stadium.
The victory keeps Ghana’s chances of qualifying for another FIFA World Cup on course and they will now face the winner between Zambia and Uganda in the fourth and final qualifying round.
They are chasing a record-extending eighth consecutive FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup berth, with the 2026 tournament scheduled to be staged in Poland.
