The German-trained tactician made slight inclusions to his list with debut calls for four players including Derrick Luckassen, Patrick Pfeiffer, Marvin Senaya, and Daniel Agyei.
Centre-back Luckassen joins the four-time African champions with a wealth of experience from several European clubs including AZ Alkmaar, Pafos FC in Cyprus, PSV, Hertha BSC, Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa, Fatih Karagümrük, and Maccabi Tel Aviv. He was a member of the Pafos squad that recently won the 2024–25 Cypriot league.
A surprise package is Senaya, who plays for French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre with previous spells at Strasbourg, Sochaux, and Lausanne.
Senaya has also been invited by Togo national team coach Patrice Neveu for their two friendlies against Guinea and Niger this month and it remains to be seen which nation he will commit his international future to.
Agyei, on the other hand, plays as a forward and winger for Turkish club Kocaelispor. Born in England, he previously played for Leyton Orient, Crewe Alexandra, Oxford United, and Burnley before moving to Turkey.
Patrick Pfeiffer is a defender who plies his trade with German 2. Bundesliga side Darmstadt 98.
Key among coach Otto Addo’s squad are Iñaki Williams, Ibrahim Sulemana, Thomas Partey, Fatawu Issahaku, Jordan Ayew and Alexander Djiku.
However, in form former captain Andre Ayew who plays for NAC Breda, is conspicuously missing from the list.
