Nigerian Emmanuel Dennis is set to return to Nottingham Forest after his six-month loan spell with Sky Bet Championship club Blackburn Rovers.

Dennis made the switch to Blackburn Rovers in January in search of regular playing time. The former Watford star was largely hampered by injuries, limiting his impact despite the forward seeking regular playing time after being sidelined at Nottingham Forest.

The 27-year-old managed to make just seven appearances for the club with only one start and one assist in a 1-2 defeat to Cardiff on March 15.

Dennis currently has one year left on his contract with Nottingham Forest. Since arriving at Forest for nearly €15 million during the 2022-23 season, the Nigerian made 19 appearances with 2 goals and 2 assists before spending the last two seasons on loan in Turkey and the English second tier.

He is expected to seek a permanent exit from the club this summer.
