Ahead of the Indomitable Lions two friendlies against Australia and China this month, Blondy Noukeu expressed joy over the selection.
“It’s a pleasure. It’s been several years since I’ve been waiting for this moment.
“I’ve worked a lot and been very patient for this moment to come around again. The club has helped me complete my development, and now it’s another opportunity to show what I’m capable of.
“My father [Patrice Noukeu, editor’s note] was an international back in the day and has always shared with me the joy it was to play for Cameroon’s national team. I’m sure it makes him very proud.”
Blondey Noukeu has previously been called-up to the Cameroon under-23 team before earning a senior invite for the first time in September 2020.
After starting off professionally in Belgium with Royal Mouscron, he joined Stoke City with two loan spells at Crawlye Town and Southend.
Boulogne saw his potential and snapped him up this January.
