Ivorian winger Amad Diallo has returned to Manchester United’s full training sessions just in time before they face Athletic Club in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinal, first leg match on Thursday.
Amad was at the centre of attention as he trained at Carrington on Wednesday with the main team squad that Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has named ahead of the UEFA Europa League match.
“It was great to see Amad participate with the group while Matthijs de Ligt was also present. Amad was also absent for the two games with the French side, as well as the Real Sociedad ties in the previous round, after suffering an ankle injury in February,” reads United website.
United manager Amorim provided an update on Amad ahead of the team’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth FC last Sunday saying ‘Amad is near.’
The 22-year-old Ivorian winger has been out of action since February 2025, when he suffered an injury in training ahead of a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.
United, who drew one-all with Bournemouth at the weekend, have also welcomed back from injury Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt. The Reds will fly out to Bilbao later on Wednesday.
