Borussia Dortmund have received a major boost ahead of their Bundesliga showdown with Bayern Munich next week, as club spokesperson confirmed that Guinean international striker Serhou Guirassy will be available for selection.
Guirassy recently left Guinea’s national team camp and returned to Germany before the game against Botswana in the final World Cup qualifying matches, after experiencing fatigue and mild physical exhaustion. Earlier this season, he had also struggled with a minor hamstring issue, which raised concerns among Dortmund fans about his fitness.
However, the club has reassured supporters that there is no cause for alarm. The spokesperson stated that Guirassy is in good condition and his participation in Saturday’s highly anticipated “Der Klassiker” is not in doubt. Dortmund is maintaining close communication with the player as he completes a short rest period before resuming full training.
Guirassy has been in fine form this season, contributing six goals and three assists in just eight appearances across all competitions — underlining his growing importance to Dortmund’s attack.
