Morocco's top flight is now firmly in the grip of RS Berkane! The league leaders are now more than ten points ahead of the nation's other top clubs after securing a 2-0 victory at home over AS FAR on Thursday, moving them twelve points beyond the Army club who sit in third position.

The Orange Boys appear unstoppable at the moment and have not lost a match since the beginning of October. In a rotating cast of goal scorers, this time it was Oussama Lamlioui who produced the moments of quality with an outstanding headed goal to open the scoring in the 26th minute from Youssef Zghoudi's cross.

The reality is that there was an even amount of opportunities for both teams in a closely fought match. However the theme continued of better execution for Berkane and it was Lamlioui who struck again to put the hosts beyond reach before the hour mark.

Senegalese midfielder Mamadou Camara won the ball close to his own penalty area then launched a perfect pass over the top for Lamlioui to round AS FAR goalkeeper Ayoub El Khayati and finish in one fluid motion.

In the earlier match played on Thursday, Raja Casablanca once again squandered an opportunity to earn a victory in their 1-1 draw with Olympique Safi. El Houssine Rahimi put hosts Raja into the lead in the first half and it appeared that victory was merely a formality after OCS forward Abdoulaye Diarra received two yellow cards in quick succession. However the visitors found a leveler through Abderrahmane Qassaq and the teams shared the points.

Eliminated from the CAF Champions League and well out of contention for the league title, it is becoming more and more of a lost season for defending champions Raja who are 21 points behind RSB in 8th place.
