Botswana’s FA official appointed FIFA women’s football expert

FIFA has appointed Botswana Football Association (BFA) official Tsholofelo Setlhoko as the world football governing body’s Women’s Football Development Expert.

A statement from FIFA says Setlhoko earned the recognition due to her immense contribution to advancing Botswana’s women’s football and beyond. Setlhoko will tap into her vast experience to support Member Associations in implementing sustainable growth strategies.

She has since welcomed her appointment, saying she was proud to represent Botswana’s women’s football fraternity.

“I am deeply honoured to be appointed as a FIFA Women’s Football Development Expert. This is not only a personal achievement but a victory for women’s football in Botswana. I look forward to sharing best practices and supporting the growth of women’s football in other Member Associations,” Setlhoko said.

BFA president Mr. Tariq Babitseng, has since congratulated Setlhoko for her achievement.

“Tsholofelo’s appointment is a testament to her dedication and hard work. Her expertise and passion for women’s football are unmatched, and we are confident that she will make a substantial impact globally,” he said.
