Botswana’s Township Rollers FC have parted ways with 11 players and brought on board eight ahead of the 2025-2026 FNB Premiership season.

The clear-out comes as new coach Srdan Zivojnov has started drilling the record league champions.

The released players are Segolame Boy, Mogakolodi Ngele, Thabo Nico Babutsi, Kabelo Maphakela, Motsholetsi Sikele, Ototeng Dintwa, Mbatshi Elias, Mosha Gaolalolwe, Godfrey Tauyatswala, Dina Dinanga Makenga and Tapiwa Sepatela.

“Preparations for the upcoming season continue, with coach Srdan Zivojnov and his technical staff taking the team through its paces,” the club’s update reads.

“The new gaffer has hit the ground running and is settling in well. There are also some players that are currently training with the team to impress the technical team.”

The new signings are Utlwang ‘Xola’ Ramakgathi (Matebele), Bophelo Kealeboga (back from loan), Thapelo Balatlheng (back from loan), Shaun Cgumeni (back from loan), Omphile ‘Terena Bus’ Phale (Gaborone United), Nambo Katso Danaye (Calendar Stars), Kesaobaka Silver Mothota (Tsetseng FC) and Gordon Kelateletswe (Tsetseng FC)

The 16-time league champions have since lined up friendlies to gear up for the new season under the Serbian coach Zivojnov who replaced Belgian Abdelaziz Karkache.

Zivojnov’s challenge would be to ensure Rollers win the domestic league title in the coming season. Popa, as Rollers are also called, settled for a distant sixth-place finish last season, 12 points behind champions Gaborone United.
