Bradford City terminate contract of Kenya forward Adam Wilson

EFL League One side Bradford City have confirmed parting ways with Kenya striker Adam Wilson, who spent last season on loan with The New Saints.

A statement from the club confirmed: “Adam Wilson has today left Bradford City AFC by mutual consent. The forward joined the Bantams in the summer of 2023 and made 16 appearances in claret and amber in all competitions, finding the back of the net once.

“A Kenyan international, Wilson spent last season on loan with The New Saints where he scored 13 times in 41 games. Everyone at Bradford City AFC would like to thank Adam for his service to the club and wish him all the best for the future.”

Wilson was born in England to an English father and Kenyan mother, and holds dual British-Kenyan citizenship. He played for England at under-18 level, making his debut in March 2018, and making four appearances in total.

In May 2024, he was called up by the Kenya national team Harambee Stars, and debuted during the 0-0 friendly tie with Chad on June 7, in Morocco.

He began his career at Newcastle United, turning professional in July 2018, and signing a new contract with the club in July 2020.

Wilson moved to Welsh club The New Saints in September 2022, and scored seven goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for the club, winning the league title and Welsh Cup double, and being named the Supporters’ Player of the Year.
