Qatar Stars League side Al Gharafa is on the verge of extending the contracts of North African duo Yacine Brahimi and Ferjani Sassi. The Algerian and Tunisian players are now likely to stay in the Gulf for another season.

According to Qatari press outlet Al Raya Sports, the management of Al Gharafa has decided to renew the contracts of the two players after evaluating their superb season at the club. The duo helped Al Gharafa lift the 2025 Emir Cup by defeating Al Rayyan and finished the season in third place with 41 points.

Sassi, 33, has spent the last two seasons at Al Gharafa. The Tunisian international central midfielder scored in the Emir Cup final. Brahimi, now in his third season at the club, scored 11 goals in all competitions. The 35-year-old attacking midfielder has spent the last six seasons in Qatar following his departure from Portuguese side Porto.

The contract details for both players have yet to be disclosed, but close sources claim that Brahimi was offered a one-year extension.
