Breaking: Gabon national team star Boupendza tragically passes away in China

Former Gabon international Aaron Boupendza has tragically passed away in China after falling from a building. The 28-year-old striker was plying his trade in China with Zhejiang FC.

Capped by the Panthers since 2016, Boupendza was one of the key players for the national side. He had a footballing career spanning France, Turkey, the USA, Portugal, Qatar, the UAE, and China.

He was first called up to the national team in 2016 and is remembered for his goal against Comoros in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Chinese authorities are still investigating the cause of his death, but media reports stated he fell from a building.
