Mbeumo and Wissa were in red-hot form last season, with the former scoring 20 league goals, one ahead of his Congolese teammate. This made them the hottest strike partnership in the Premier League.
Now with the Cameroonian securing a move to United, the DR Congo Leopards attacker took to his Instagram account to reminisce about the glorious years the duo spent at Brentford.
“We will talk about it in 10 years time. Thank you boss!” Wissa wrote with a photo alongside Mbeumo.
The Congolese forward seems to be on his way out of Brentford with multiple new sources in the United Kingdom saying he had left the Premier League club’s camp in Portugal.
The latest development has fueled speculation that Wissa’s move to either Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur is imminent.
