CAF Champions League: Power Dynamos captain highlights turning point ahead of RS Berkane challenge

Power Dynamos FC vice-captain Prince Mumba says the Zambian league champions are inspired going into Saturday’s clash against RS Berkane in the CAF Champions League (CAFCL).

The MTN Super League holders welcomed the Moroccans at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the Group A match in Ndola in a buoyant mood.

Having previously gone three games without maximum points in the pool, Dynamos responded in fashion to beat Rivers United right in Nigeria the previous weekend.

After that victory over the Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Dynamos are no longer the same timid side in front of goal according to Mumba.

“The victory in Nigeria has been a huge morale-booster. You can see it in each and every one of us. We are ready to fight against Berkane tomorrow,” the vice-captain told the press on Friday.

Dynamos coach Osward Mutapa echoed Mumba’s optimism while appealing for mass home support during the meeting with the Botola Pro side.

Berkane coach Mouin Chaâbani seemed unperturbed by the remarks from the camp of the Zambians, saying they were eyeing nothing short of maximum points. Kick-off is 3pm Central Africa Time (CAT).
