Pyramids FC strengthened their qualification hopes in the CAF Champions League after securing an emphatic 3-0 victory over Morocco’s RS Berkane in Group A.
The Egyptian side delivered a commanding performance at the 30 June Stadium, claiming all three points in the fourth round of the group stage and asserting their dominance throughout the encounter.
Pyramids opened the scoring early in the 10th minute when Nasser Maher delivered a cross into the box. Mahmoud Zalaka headed the ball into the left side of the RS Berkane goalkeeper.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 74th minute. Mahmoud Zalaka turned provider this time, threading a through ball to Nasser Maher, who finished to score his first goal since joining the club.
Ahmed Atef “Kotta” put the finishing touch on an outstanding night for Pyramids in the 80th minute. The winger received a cross inside the penalty area and fired a shot past the goalkeeper to seal a 3-0 win.
