The curtain fell on the group stage of the 2025–2026 CAF Champions League on Sunday evening, with surprises highlighting a campaign marked by Egyptian and Moroccan dominance.

Eight clubs have officially secured their places in the quarter-finals. The lineup includes two Egyptian teams and two Moroccan sides, alongside representatives from Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, and Sudan.

Group A

Pyramids FC topped the group standings with 16 points, underlining their strong continental presence. Moroccan side RS Berkane followed in second place with 10 points to book their quarter-final ticket.

Group B

Record champions Al Ahly SC finished at the summit with 10 points, narrowly ahead of AS FAR, who secured qualification as runners-up with nine points.

Group C

Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman produced the biggest surprise of the group stage by topping their group. Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns avoided an early exit and advanced as runners-up.

Group D

Another upset unfolded as Stade Malien claimed top spot in their group. Tunisian powerhouse Espérance Sportive de Tunis finished second to secure their place in the last eight.
