The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially kickstarted the campaign for the 2024 TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) by unveiling the tournament’s official poster and theme under the powerful slogan “PAMOJA.”
Set to take place from 2nd to 30th August 2025, this edition of CHAN will be uniquely co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania — a historic first for the East African region to jointly organize a major continental football event.
At the core of this campaign is the word PAMOJA, a Swahili term meaning “unity.” More than just a tagline, PAMOJA represents a shared vision of harmony, solidarity, and collective ambition — values deeply rooted in African football culture. It symbolizes the power of teamwork and togetherness, on and off the pitch.
CAF also revealed the tournament’s official poster, now available on its digital platforms and through broadcast partners. The design captures the vibrancy of African football, integrating symbolic elements and iconic landmarks from the host nations to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage and identity.
Designed with bold and energetic visuals, the poster brings to life the spirit of PAMOJA, reflecting the dynamism and colour of the game as well as the unity of the three host nations.
Reserved exclusively for players competing in their home domestic leagues, CHAN remains a unique platform to celebrate local talent and highlight the richness and diversity of African football across the continent.
In the lead-up to CHAN 2024, the PAMOJA campaign will feature a wide range of activities including digital storytelling, fan engagement campaigns, and grassroots initiatives, all aimed at bringing communities together and amplifying the tournament’s presence across Africa.
