Congo Brazzaville’s top-flight league club, Association Sportive Otohô (AS Otohô) have raided Mali football fraternity to sign nine players.
Otohô coach Sekou Seck told his team’s media that the new signings are meant to strengthen his squad ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup first round matches against Angola’s Primeiro Agosto.
The Congo Brazzaville club has recruited Malian international goalkeeper Aboubacar Doumbia from Afrique Football Élite. Doumbia has joined Otohô alongside former Afrique Football Élite club team-mate midfielder Klegnime Koné and defensive midfielder Ibrahima Traoré.
Defender Oumar Camara has joined the Congolese team from Mande Star while winger Macky Diallo is formerly of AS Guerriers du Mandé and right-back Koumou Keita’s last club in Mali was Binga FC.
Otohô have also bought defender Boubacar Traoré from the Association Sportive Eleven Créateurs de Niaréla with former Binga FC striker Bandiougou Diallo being the other acquisition.
The Congolese team will travel to Angola for the first leg on the weekend of September 19-21, 2025 in Luanda.
The second leg match will take place at Stade Alphonse-Massamba-Debat in Brazzaville on the weekend of September 26-28 2025. The overall winner of the two legs will date either Ferroviário de Maputo (Mozambique) or AS Fanalamanga (Madagascar) from 17 to 19 October 2025.
