CAFCC Group B: RS Berkane complete undefeated group stage with dominance of Stellenbosch

Group B was already decided before the final round of matches on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup and Morocco’s RS Berkane completed their domination of the group with a 5-0 thumping of South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC. Paul Bassene scored twice for last season’s runners-up and Berkane continue to be in excellent form across all competitions this season, who also currently lead Morocco’s top division Botola Pro.

Stellenbosch had nothing to worry about even after Sunday’s result. Stellies confirmed second place last week with a victory against Stade Malien who finished their campaign with a 1-0 defeat at home to Angolan club CD Lunda Sul. After a positive start the Malian giants ended their Confederation Cup with four consecutive defeats and a last place finish.
