CAFCC Group C: Group favorites USMA and ASEC maintain their positions

There was little excitement for supporters of the clubs in Group C at the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday. A pair of scoreless draws maintained the status quo with group favorites USM Alger of Algeria and Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas each at the top on four points.

USMA and ASEC earned results away from home with USMA held to a scoreless draw in Senegal against ASC Jaraaf. ASEC traveled to Botswana where neither they nor hosts Orapa United could find the goal. The results keep less fancied clubs Jaraaf and Orapa United in contention but both will be disappointed at not earning victories at home.
