CAFCC: Kaizer Chiefs v Zesco United: Ticket prices…all you should know

Zambia giants Zesco United are drumming up support for their CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) Group D home match against Kaizer Chiefs next week on Sunday, January 25 2026.

The nine-time MTN Super League champions have since described the game, which will kick off at 3:pm Southern African Time, ‘as a must-win’ and have lined up activities to attract a huge crowd.

Ahead of the match to be played at 49,800-seater Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in copper mining town of Ndola, Zesco United have lined up fan activation activities.

Ndola is located some 330 kilometres from Lusaka, and it takes five hours of driving from the capital city where the main airport for international flights is located.

How much are tickets selling?

ZESCO have released a statement announcing the sale of advance tickets. A ticket at the VIP will cost R168 (200 Zambia kwacha) while a seat in the rest of the terraces is pegged at R25 or 30 Zambia kwacha).

“Tickets are now available at all ZESCO Customer Service Centres on the Copperbelt…don’t miss out on this electrifying match,” part of the statement reads.

The ABSA Cup champions anchor group D of the Confederation Cup without a point after losing 1-0 to leaders Zamalek and 3-2 to Al Marsy, both from Egypt.

The Zambians’ most immediate fixture before facing Chiefs is against Kabwe Warriors away at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday.

Who are Zesco United stars?

ZESCO have not been consistent enough in domestic games as they are smarting from a 2-1 loss to relegation threatened Nkana FC.

The squad for the power men comprises internationals such as striker Kelvin Kampamba, who is the captain, and defenders Benedict Chipeshi and Shemmy Mayembe.

AmaKhosi will host the Zambians in the reverse fixture of the Confederation Cup on Sunday, February 1 at Moses Mabhida Stadium. This will be followed by yet another home match against Al Masry at New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, 8 February 8. The group stage concludes with a daunting trip to Egypt to face Zamalek SC on February 15.

The Glamour Boys are desperate for a win after a slow start to the campaign. Their journey began with a narrow 2-1 loss to Al Masry in Egypt, followed by a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Zamalek in Polokwane.

With a goal difference of minus-one, maximum points in Durban and Polokwane are now non-negotiable if they are to advance.
