CAFCC: Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku eyes smooth continental journey

Asante Kotoko striker, Kwame Opoku has said that, the club is determined to make an impact in the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup next season.

The ebony black attacker’s comments come following their glorious feat in the 2025 Champion-of-Champions where they defeated GoldStars courtesy Musa Hamzata’s only goal to lift the trophy at the Duns Park in Bibiani on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors are paired against Nigeria’s Kwara United in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup and Kwame Opoku remains confident of a prosperous journey in Africa.

“Of course we are mentally prepared and physically too we are prepared,” Kwame Opoku told TV3.

“We all saw what we did in South Africa and I believe in going forward we expect to summon ourselves so that we win subsequent matches.”

Asante Kotoko won the FA Cup last season before adding the 2025 President’s Cup and beating Kaizer Chiefs to the Toyota Cup at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
