Mighty Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira has picked positives and negatives from their 1-0 victory over Jwaneng Galaxy in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.
The Malawian said he was happy with the result, although he felt they wasted scoring opportunities at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
“I am very happy that we have won this game although I could have loved if we had scored more goals,” the coach said.
“Anyway, a win is a win. I must commend them. They worked very hard and I am happy for them.”
Mpinganjira insisted that the FNB Premiership opponents were not a walkover in the preliminary round, first leg match.
“Believe you me, they are a good team,” he said. “They are experienced. They can do more than what they have done today. At least we are going there with a goal in our back so it is okay.”
Galaxy have a chance to redeem themselves when they welcome the Malawians on Saturday.
