CAFCC: ZESCO United coach Emmanuel Siwale makes bold declaration

ZESCO United assistant coach Emmanuel Siwale has explained what their fans can expect from their CAF Confederation Cup game against Gabonese side Football Canon 105 Libreville on Saturday.

The MTN Super League side has traveled to Gabon for the Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg match at Franceville Stadium.

Giving an update on their readiness for the game, Siwale said they expect nothing short of maximum points collected on the road.

“The team is very ready. This is what the boys have been looking forward to, and we have our first assignment in CAF. We just have to go and do what is expected of us, especially where preparations is concerned. This is a journey, and we are preparing, our focus is to go and win the match.

“The nation should expect us to come with a positive result because this is what we have been preparing for,” he added.

ZESCO have travelled with a strong squad comprising star players such as defenders Kabaso Chongo, Benedict Chepeshi, Lindo Mkonta, midfielders Kelvin Kampamba and strikers Alex Ngonga.

The Ndola-based club has a rich history in continental competitions after making nine appearances. Domestically boast nine Super League titles, and seven ABSA Cups.
