The Lilongwe-based team’s assistant coach Etson Kadenge Mwafulirwa said they have settled in Mauritius where the Malagasy champions will host the preliminary round, first leg match on Sunday.
The coach, therefore, said Silver are ready to begin the continental campaign after winning last year’s domestic league title.
Kadenge added that he was confident of the team’s preparation, as all the players are determined to ensure a good start to the CAF competition.
“Technically, we have had a good preparation for the game on Sunday, as we have been working on a game plan to win on Sunday to put one foot ahead in this game,” Mwafulirwa told the team’s media.
“The team has had good sessions from the start, beginning at home, and continuing until today. Upon our arrival in Mauritius, we had a smooth trip and rested well. This afternoon we have had a feel of the weather and everything looks sharp.”
Strikers left Malawi on Thursday and arrived in Mauritius on Friday. The Central Bankers will face off with the Malagasy side at Côte d’Or National Complex.
