Power Dynamos’ right winger Austin Muwowo has revealed their plan to protect the advantage gained from the first leg of their CAF Champions League fixture against ASEC Mimosas.
The two sides will face off in the return leg at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, with the Zambian Super League champions seeking to advance to the second preliminary stage of the competition. Dynamos won the first leg played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola 1-0 a fortnight ago.
“We are very prepared accordingly because this is a once-in-a-while chance, and we just have to work hard. We have planned very well, and I think we are ready to face them, and I am sure we are going to get the result,” Muwowo said as quoted by Bola News.
“It’s big and slender, but at least it’s somewhere to start from. We just have to work because we do have a lead, and we can still protect it and add more, so we just have to work hard.”
He added: “I think as far as I’m concerned, we discussed, and if we can stand up for like 45 minutes, balance that, and stop them from their attacks, we can definitely have a chance and then score; we can turn tables and continue leading as it is right now.”
Sunday’s clash will determine which side advances in pursuit of continental glory.
