Malawi’s FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have sent a goodwill message to their rivals Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers..
The two teams are gearing up for the CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League assignments. In a statement, Bullets say they had put behind their rivalry because Wanderers and Silver are flying the country’s flag.
“Both clubs carry the responsibility of flying the Malawian flag on the continental stage, and their particition is source of national pride,” the statement reads.
“While we are rivals in domestic competition, on the African stage we stand united behind Silver Strikers and Mighty Wanderers.”
Wanderers face Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy in the preliminary round first leg of the Confederation Cup
on Saturday in Lilongwe.
The second leg match will take place in Gaborone on the weekend of September 26-28 2025.
On the other hand, Silver clash against Madagascar’s Elgeco Plus in the Champions League preliminary round first leg match on Sunday at the National Sports Stadium in Côte d’Or in Mauritius.
Strikers will host the reverse fixture at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on September 26, 2025.
