Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić, head coach of Egypt’s Pyramids FC, stated that the upcoming clash against Morocco’s AS FAR will be extremely tough and intense. Hosts AS FAF have no option but to win by at least three goals after their 4-1 first leg defeat in Cairo. Jurčić emphasized that Pyramids will approach the match with extreme caution.

Pyramids will visit AS FAR at 7 PM GMT on Tuesday at the Stade d'Honneur in Meknes in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals. Pyramids had claimed a 4-1 win in the first leg played in Cairo.

During the pre-match press conference, Jurčić explained that the game in Meknes will be entirely different from the first leg, especially with the anticipated pressure from a packed home crowd at the Stade d'Honneur.

He expects AS FAR to press hard from the first whistle in search of an early goal. Therefore, his team must be fully focused, avoid conceding and play with great caution to ensure qualification to the semifinals.

Commenting on the challenge of playing in front of a large and intense crowd in Meknes, Jurčić said that his players are used to such atmospheres having faced Al Ahly and Zamalek in the Egyptian League, as well as playing high profile matches in the Champions League with large crowds.

He added that the presence of fans will serve as additional motivation for his players to deliver their best and secure qualification.

The head coach firmly rejected the idea that Pyramids will defend from the first minute to protect their first-leg lead, stressing that his team has its own playing style and will stick to it.

He affirmed that the players are motivated to repeat the victory in Meknes and secure a place in the semifinals.
