Group A at the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League in Morocco finished with host club AS FAR and TP Mazembe qualifying for the semifinals on Friday. AS FAR defeated South Africa's UWC Ladies by a 2-0 score to finish the group stage with three wins from three matches while Mazembe of DR Congo recorded a decisive 4-0 win against Senegal's Aigles de la Médina.

After some decent initial resistance from UWC Ladies, AS FAR found the lead in the 35th minute courtesy of the tournament's leading scorer Doha El Madani. The 19-year-old star converted from the penalty spot after Sanaâ Mssoudy was tripped in the uDubs penalty area.

The same combination produced the second goal for AS FAR soon after the hour mark when excellent team play from the Moroccan champions led to Mssoudy assisting El Madani for a shot that was too powerful for the UWC Ladies goalkeeper to keep out. El Madani now has five goals on her way to winning the tournament's Golden Boot.

Last place in the group, Aigles de la Médina did well to keep TP Mazembe from finding the goal in a scoreless first half. However it all unraveled for the Senegalese club in the second half after Lacho Marta scored her second goal of the competition in the 49th minute. Less than two minutes later Ivorian striker Lagoali Kreto doubled the lead.

Marta set up Kreto for her second goal of the match in the 64th minute and Merveille Kanjinga confirmed the four-goal deficit seven minutes later for the Congolese giants who qualify for the semifinals as Group A runners-up behind AS FAR.
