Gaborone United Ladies coach, Khaled Niyozima, has promised to win the championship for the CAF Women’s Champions League: COSAFA Qualifiers in South Africa on Sunday.
The coach made the promise while sharing his thoughts of the final against ZESCO Ndola Girls at AW Muller Stadium in Johannesburg.
“So far, preparations are going on well. We don’t have injuries. The morale is fine. Everyone is ready for tomorrow and everyone wants to make history. I want to wish all my players luck tomorrow and promise Botswana that we will bring it home,” Niyozima said.
The Botswana champions qualified for the final after defeating Mozambique’s Costa do Sol 3-1 also on Friday.
Gaborone lost to the University of the Western Cape FC in last year’s final staged in Malawi. This year, they want the ultimate title. On the other hand, ZESCO eliminated Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies 2-1 also on Friday at the same venue in Johannesburg.
