CAFWCL – WAFU-B Zone: ASEC Mimosas and Bayelsa Queens face off in the final

The final of the CAF Women’s Champions League (CAFWCL) qualifiers in the WAFU-B zone will be played this Friday, September 5, at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro. It will feature ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire against Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, two teams that have displayed both efficiency and consistency since the start of the competition.

In the group stage, Bayelsa Queens had a flawless run: three wins in three matches, with nine goals scored and three conceded. ASEC Mimosas also impressed in attack, netting nine goals and conceding only two, before securing their place in the semifinals and now in the final.

This clash therefore brings together two prolific attacks and two solid defenses. ASEC will count on the support of its fans in Yamoussoukro, while Bayelsa Queens will aim for another statement performance on the regional stage.

As a curtain-raiser, Police Ladies of Ghana will face Burkina Faso’s USFA in the third-place.
