Levante forward, Etta Eyong fired the Indomitable Lions ahead with just three minutes played before IFK Gotenborg winger Saidou Alioum increased the tally in the 9th minute.
Shao Jiayi was full of praise for coach David Pagou’s charges after full time.
“First of all, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Cameroon.
“They were clearly the better team, and this victory was entirely deserved; it really showcased their quality.
“As for China, I am satisfied with our attitude, our competitive spirit, and our team organization.
“I give full credit to every player. They performed at the best of their current level, and honestly, it’s hard for me to ask for more.”
Cameroon began the FIFA Series with a slim 1-0 loss against hosts Australia on March 27 before sinking China in the second fixture.
The Indomitable Lions failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after finishing second in Group D on 19 points, four points behind Cape Verde.
