Kenya's national women’s team, the Harambee Starlets, continued with their impressive form at the ongoing CECAFA Senior Women's Championship with a commanding 4-0 victory over South Sudan in a match played at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Thursday.
This win marked Kenya’s third consecutive victory in the group stage of the regional tournament, having kicked-off their campaign with a 3-0 triumph over Burundi, and followed it up with a 4-0 demolition of Uganda's Crested Cranes.
With these results, the Harambee Starlets have scored a total of 11 goals and conceded none, collecting a maximum of nine points from three matches. They sit firmly at the top of the group standings, showcasing their strong intent to clinch this year’s title.
The Kenyan side now awaits the outcome of tonight’s highly anticipated clash between hosts Tanzania (Twiga Stars) and Uganda, also set to take place at the Azam Complex, to determine their potential opponents in the knockout stages of the tournament.
