Ceramica Cleopatra were crowned champions of the Egypt Capital Cup after securing a 2-0 victory over National Bank in the final.
The opening goal came in the 40th minute through Mohamed Reda “Bobo,” who showcased brilliant individual skill before unleashing a precise strike from outside the box that found the back of the net.
South African forward Fagrie Lakay sealed the win in the 79th minute. After a one-two with Islam Issa, Lakay broke free on goal and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.
This triumph marks Ceramica Cleopatra's third consecutive Egypt Capital Cup title, making them the most successful club in the competition’s short history, with three wins in four editions.
Head coach Ali Maher secured his second Egypt Capital Cup triumph. He previously lifted the trophy in the tournament's inaugural edition with Future FC.
With this victory, Ceramica Cleopatra secure qualification for the Egyptian Super Cup at the beginning of next season, joining Nile Egyptian League champions Al Ahly, Egypt Cup winners Zamalek, and an as-yet-unannounced club, likely to be Pyramids FC, will receive a golden card invitation from the tournament organizers.
In the third-place playoff, Ismaily overcame ENPPI with a 2-0 win to claim the third place in the competition.
