Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko won the 2025 Champion-of-Champions after beating Gold Stars 1-0 on Sunday.
In an evenly matched encounter, Kotoko held the defending league champions to a goalless draw in the first half at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
The Porcupine Warriors came into the game from a backdrop of poor performance in the GHALCA Top 4 where they failed to pick a point in three matches.
They needed the victory and trophy badly to reinvigorate their fans ahead of next season’s domestic and continental campaign.
The FA Cup champions pulled out a fine work on the right hand side of the field which secured them a free kick in the 69th minute.
Substitute, Musa Hamzata who was signed from Accra Lions to augment their defence, found the net with a tap in from the free kick.
